Energy Ltd. (“ISH”) is committed to provide a safe workplace for all employees and contractors working at ISH offices or facilities to prevent any injury or illness, to protect ISH assets and to protect the environment and the public and communities in which ISH operates.

ISH strives to continually improve operations such that worker and public safety improves, environmental and security risks are reduced.

ISH proactively analyzes risks through environmental aspect impact assessments, security risk assessments, integrity assessments and various other safety hazard assessments. ISH works to manage risks, develop operational controls and set goals and targets appropriately.

ISH complies with the intent and specific requirements of applicable environmental, health safety and security laws, regulations and other standards of practice. Compliance with the law and with company rules, policies and procedures is the responsibility of every worker (employee or contractor) and is a condition of employment.

ISH will not knowingly place any worker, the public or the environment at risk and does not support any decision that compromises safety for the sake of any business objective. Workers are required to take action to notify supervisors upon observing unsafe acts or conditions and where appropriate steps need to be taken to improve the condition.

ISH Senior Management, Management and Supervisors advise workers of potential and actual hazards, take reasonable practicable precautions to prevent worker injuries, ensure workers use prescribed personal protective equipment and ensure that the workers are aware of all company programs and meet their requirements.

ISH employees and contractors share the responsibility for preventing loss by following ISH requirements and including safety as a part of all business decisions. ISH expects every worker to protect the health and safety of other workers, the public and the environment.

ISH maintains a system of emergency preparedness that ensures a timely and appropriate response to emergencies.

ISH maintains a system for security management to mitigate security risks with ISH operations.

ISH maintains a system for pipeline and equipment integrity management, operations and maintenance and is working towards zero incidents and releases to the environment.

ISH ensures that the required resources, including competent personnel, are available to effectively and efficiently implement company programs. The application of company programs will ensure ISH meets its targets and goals with all applicable legal requirements and industry standards. Meeting these commitments is a responsibility shared by everyone while on ISH worksites.

ISH will implement monitoring and measurement of the company programs effectiveness which will be reported annually to the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer (Accountable Officer).
